In the afternoon we meet some people we met at the wedding to have a last look at the carpet at MUPO. The paintings for the next show are already in the space awaiting to be hung. Stephen, who runs a non-profit organisation helping Mexican craftspeople get stands on American folk markets, is happy to see the work of La Vida Nueva.
He has never seen this kind of weaving by them and is interested in the correlation between the drawing and the carpet.
Camino Welt is a project by Various Artists, where one physical artist undertakes a walk following the coastline from Santiago de Compostela to Ostend. Camino Welt is a reversed pilgrimage set up as a mobile production studio. The concept is to produce as much work on the road as humanly possible. Various Artists will collaborate, sabotage, and influence each other into a frenzy of overproduction. During the Alotof Convergence festival Various Artists will walk from Castro Urdiales to Bilbao from 24 to 26 April. The one man collective will upload images and data to the Convergence website.
