Christina @ Wasteland

[EN]  Christina explores the worlds of honeybees, researches their natural ways of living and the mystery of their disappearance.  She focuses on bees and their integration in urban contexts, as well as their interaction with their direct environment.  At the wasteland, she started keeping bees in 2009.  Christina leads the Melliferopolis project – a transdisciplinary initiative on honeybees in the city – launched in 2012 in Helsinki.

[NL]  Christina verkent de wereld van de honingbijen, onderzoekt hun natuurlijke manier van leven en het mysterie van hun verdwijning.  Ze richt zich op bijen en hun integratie in de stedelijke context, evenals de relatie met de directe omgeving.  In de Wasteland, begon ze met het houden van bijen in 2009.  Christina ontwikkelt het Melliferopolis project – een transdisciplinair initiatief over honingbijen in de stad – gelanceerd in 2012 in Helsinki.
