[NL] Met tal van Nederlandse en Belgische kunstenaars en culturele instellingen gaan we over tot een boycot van Israël. Zij wensen niet langer aan de zijlijn te blijven staan van oorlogsmisdaden, misdaden tegen de menselijkheid en een door alle gezaghebbende instituties erkende genocide op het Palestijnse volk.⁠⁠

Wat houdt de culturele boycot in?
Kunstenaars en instellingen die meedoen:⁠
• Zeggen publiek: wij steunen de boycot⁠
• Werken niet (meer) mee aan door de Israëlische staat (of medeplichtige organisaties) gefinancierde kunstprojecten⁠
• Gaan geen nieuwe samenwerkingen aan met zulke partijen⁠
• Doen niet mee aan praktijken die Israëlische en Palestijnse perspectieven als ‘gelijk’ behandelen zonder de geschiedenis van onrechtvaardigheid en onderdrukking aan te pakken⁠

De boycot is gericht op de Israëlische staat en alle Israëlische instellingen en bedrijven. Uitgezonderd zijn organisaties die niet medeplichtig zijn aan schendingen van het internationaal recht en zich ondubbelzinnig hebben uitgesproken tegen de genocide, de illegale bezetting en de apartheid. De boycot is expliciet niet gericht op individuen of hun afkomst, dus ook niet op Israëli’s als zodanig, maar op de medeplichtigheid van Israëlische instellingen en bedrijven aan de mensenrechtenschendingen jegens de Palestijnen.⁠

[EN] Together with numerous Dutch and Belgian artists and cultural institutions, we are boycotting Israel. They no longer wish to stand on the sidelines of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide against the Palestinian people, as recognised by all authoritative institutions.⁠

What does the cultural boycott entail?
Artists and institutions participating in the boycott:⁠
• Publicly state: we support the boycott⁠
• No longer participate in art projects funded by the Israeli state (or complicit organisations)⁠
• Do not enter into new collaborations with such parties⁠
• Do not participate in practices that treat Israeli and Palestinian perspectives as “equal” without addressing the history of injustice and oppression⁠

The boycott is directed at the Israeli state and all Israeli institutions and companies. Exceptions are organisations that are not complicit in violations of international law and have unequivocally spoken out against genocide, illegal occupation and apartheid. The boycott is explicitly not aimed at individuals or their origins, including Israelis as such, but at the complicity of Israeli institutions and companies in human rights violations against Palestinians.⁠
