Dirty Ecologies — An encounter between a toxic detective and an eco slut.

Gosie Vervloessem & Matte De Blasio are currently sharing a residency at NICC Brussels. Transforming the vitrine into an imaginative and political platform, the artists intertwine ecological forensics, sensual entanglements, libidinal research and speculative fabulation. Rooted in the complex realities of the neighbourhood surrounding NICC, the project rejects fantasies of pure nature and instead approaches pollution as a site of queer kinship — without obscuring or aestheticizing its violence.

The residency concludes on 27.05 with the presentation ‘out for a walk in the middle voice / sensual taxonomies’.
