In 1990, director Pavel Lungin’s debut film, “Taxi Blues,” was released. It won the Cannes Film Festival prize for Best Director and was later recognized as one of the most striking films created during the twilight years of the USSR. It also serves as a unique documentary, revealing Moscow in the late 1980s.
