[EN] At FERAL Festival (organised by Cifas), artists, activists and participants come together to share their knowledge, experiences and tactics on the theme of ‘piracy’.

She Shanties
Mathilde Maillard and Emma Lee Harder share their working methods during two workshops that blend singing and documentary storytelling. From an ecofeminist perspective, they rewrite traditional ‘sea shanties’, whilst adding a touch of adventure to their stories, in the true style of the Belgian ‘canals’.

On the final day of the festival, the Buratinas Captains, together with the boats Olga and Rubens, will sail towards the Cercle de la Voile in Grimbergen. The public is warmly invited to join them on this journey.

In Grimbergen, the She Shanties choir will perform at 7.33 pm, under the full moon, on board the Rubens. They will be joined by Amber Meulenijzer and her hydrophone for an impromptu sing-along, which everyone is welcome to join. Afterwards, they will present their album K7 – On trouve de tout sauf des maisons.

She Shanties

She Shanties
