[FR] the archive we live in est un projet participatif qui rend visible l’archive des récits habitant à la fois les personnes et les lieux.
Par l’enregistrement d’histoires et de témoignages, une archive audio se construit, se partage et se transforme.
Quels récits habitent un quartier ?
Quelles histoires font le tissu local ?
Quels dialogues avons-nous le plus besoin d’entendre aujourd’hui ?
Comment faire vivre les récits dans l’espace public ?
Comment redonner vie à ces mémoires ?
Nous sommes au monde à travers les récits qui nous entourent, à travers les traces laissées par les autres. Nous vivons et nous nous construisons à l’intérieur de ces archives.
Au square Jacques Franck, the archive we live in souhaite rendre visibles et partager des histoires de réconciliations, de raccommodements et de résolution de conflits.
La première étape : une collecte de récits auprès des habitants du square.
Pendant trois jours, un atelier de fabrication de hamacs transformera ces récits en quelques phrases, messages et symboles visibles dans l’espace public. Ces hamacs deviendront des lieux d’écoute : on pourra entendre les récits en s’y installant, sur le square Jacques Franck, puis tout au long de l’été, au fil des événements de Park Poetik.

[EN] the archive we live in is a participatory project that makes visible the archive of stories residing in both people and places. Through the recording of stories and testimonies, an audio archive is built, shared, and transformed.
What stories inhabit a neighborhood?
What histories make up the local fabric?
What dialogues do we most need to hear today?
How can we bring stories to life in public space?
How can we revive these memories?
We exist in the world through the stories that surround us, through the traces left by others. We live and we build ourselves within these archives.
At Square Jacques Franck, the archive we live in aims to make visible and share stories of joy, solidarity & support, tolerance & belonging.
The first step: a collection of stories from the square’s residents.
Over three days, a hammock-making workshop will transform these stories into phrases, messages, and symbols visible in public space. These hammocks will become places for listening: visitors will be able to hear the stories while settling into them, at Square Jacques Franck, and then throughout the summer, during Park Poetik events.

[NL] the archive we live in is een participatief project dat een archief van verhalen die zowel in mensen als in plaatsen schuilt, zichtbaar maakt. Door het vastleggen van verhalen en getuigenissen wordt een audioarchief opgebouwd, gedeeld en getransformeerd.
Welke verhalen leven er in een buurt?
Welke geschiedenissen vormen het lokale weefsel?
Welke dialogen moeten we vandaag de dag het meest horen?
Hoe kunnen we verhalen tot leven brengen in de openbare ruimte?
Hoe kunnen we deze herinneringen nieuw leven inblazen?
We bestaan in de wereld door de verhalen die ons omringen, door de sporen die anderen hebben achtergelaten. We leven en vormen onszelf binnen deze archieven.
Op het Jacques Franck-plein wil ‘het archief waarin we leven’ verhalen over vreugde, solidariteit en steun, tolerantie en verbondenheid zichtbaar maken en delen.
De eerste stap: een verzameling verhalen van de bewoners van het plein.
Gedurende drie dagen zal een workshop hangmatten maken deze verhalen omzetten in zinnen, boodschappen en symbolen die zichtbaar zijn in de openbare ruimte. Deze hangmatten worden plekken om te luisteren: bezoekers kunnen de verhalen beluisteren terwijl ze erin gaan zitten, op het Jacques Franck-plein en vervolgens de hele zomer lang tijdens de evenementen van Park Poetik.
