[EN] Resonating Spaces wants to put artists’ residencies and workspaces in the spotlight. Residencies and workspaces exist separately, and sometimes they are woven into one same organisation. Both residences and workplaces play a clear and important role in the art scene and provide space and opportunity to (young) artists to develop their practice. The aim of the day was to discuss the role and significance of artist residencies and workspaces, primarily in Belgium and the Netherlands.

nadine took part in the meeting after the colloquium where participants could get to know residencies and workshops from Flanders and the Netherlands.

 

[NL] Resonating Spaces wil kunstenaarsresidenties en werkplaatsen voor kunstenaars in de kijker zetten. Zowel residenties als werkplaatsen spelen een duidelijke en belangrijke rol in het kunstenlandschap en bieden ruimte en mogelijkheid aan (jonge) kunstenaars om hun praktijk verder te ontwikkelen. Doel van de dag was om in te gaan op de rol en de betekenis van kunstenaarsresidenties en werkplaatsen, in de eerste plaats in België en Nederland.

nadine nam deel aan het ontmoetingsmoment na het colloquium waar deelnemers kennis konden maken met residenties en werkplaatsen uit Vlaanderen en Nederland.
