[EN] the archive we live in is a participatory project initiated by Laura Oriol. It is a research on the participation of the public to make it co-author of the artistic work, of the poetic moment and to experience art as a meeting place.
We are in this world through stories, stories that surround us, traces left by others. We live and build ourselves within these archives.
the archive we live in would like to honor a way of being in this world in the face of power: in resistance, in struggle.
Struggle is first of all an interior movement, a mobilization of oneself. It builds identity, subjectivity. But it is also a space of encounter, a place of solidarity.
We need others.

La Vieille Chéchette hosts a device to collect your stories of struggles, your acts of resistance whether they are small daily gestures, life choices, ways of dressing, readings that have touched you, militant commitments or protests in the public square. Come tell, record, leave traces of your passage, of your presence.

Nous sommes dans ce monde au travers des récits, des histoires qui nous entourent, des traces que laissent les autres. Nous vivons et nous nous construisons à l’intérieur de ces archives.

La lutte est d’abord un mouvement intérieur, une mobilisation de soi. Elle est constructrice d’identité, de subjectivité. Mais aussi elle est un lieu de rencontre, un lieu de solidarité.
Nous avons besoin des autres.

La Vieille Chéchette accueille un dispositif pour collecter vos histoires de luttes, vos actes de résistances que se soit des petits gestes du quotidien, des choix de vie, des manières de s’habiller, des lectures qui vous ont touché, des engagement militants ou des protestations sur la place public. Venez raconter, enregistrer, laisser des traces de votre passage, de votre présence.
Rejoignez-nous pour des moments d’activation de l’archive où nous la nourrirons de récits, de dialogues et de vos témoignages intimes et politiques. Chaque événement proposera une réflexion sur la lutte et la diversité de ses formes puis une invitation a vous enregistrer pour que l’archive grandisse.
[NL] the archive we live in is een participatief project geïnitieerd door Laura Oriol. Het is een onderzoek over de deelname van een publiek, over co-auteurschap van artistiek werk, van het poëtische momentum en over het experimenteren met kunst als ontmoetingsplaats.
Wij zijn verbonden met deze wereld aan de hand van verhalen, verhalen die ons omringen, als sporen die anderen achterlaten. We leven ten midden van al deze archieven en bouwen onze identiteit erbinnen op.
