[FR] À bord de notre embarcation flottante, nous partirons en expédition archéologique sur les canaux de Belgique. L’archéologie est une discipline scientifique dont l’objectif est d’étudier l’être humain à travers l’ensemble des vestiges matériel ayant subsisté au cours des siècles. En tant qu’archéologues de la surface, nous porterons notre attention à tout objet flottant. Nous les documenterons à l’aide d’une méthodologie scientifique de haute précision : dessins, mesures, photos, textes, imagier. Grâce à ces relevés, nous chercherons à comprendre l’histoire de chacun de ces objets. Nos recherches seront rassemblées dans un carnet de bord.

[EN] Aboard our floating craft, we’ll be setting off on an archaeological expedition along the canals of Belgium. Archaeology is a scientific discipline whose aim is to study human beings through the material remains that have survived over the centuries.

Als amateur archeologen besteden we aandacht aan alle drijvende voorwerpen op het water. We documenteren ze aan de hand van een wetenschappelijke methodologie met hoge precisie: tekeningen, afmetingen, foto’s, teksten, beelden. Dankzij deze gegevens proberen we de geschiedenis van elk van deze objecten te begrijpen. Ons onderzoek zal worden gebundeld in een logboek. Wat drijft er? Waarom zinken sommige dingen? Waarom vliegen andere weg?”
