[EN] [From 3 to 4 July Marialena Marouda will be in residency on Buratinas. This trip will be the start of the third Tour de Belgique.]

As an additional tool of investigation Marialena Marouda invites a group of artist-researchers to float on water.

By exchanging the usual surface of artistic practice – soil – for water, she would like to explore how fluidity and it’s set of conditions can leak into those practices – or even flood them? What does it mean to understand water as a collaborator?

Asking these questions, Marialena invites the artists to spend at least 24h on nadine’s collectively owned and solar-powered boat, Buratinas, and start, on the 3rd and 4th of July, its yearly “Tour de Belgique”. They will take the boat from where it was left by its previous captains and sail it to where the waters will guide them. The next captains will float from there.

Als bijkomend onderzoeksinstrument nodigt Marialena Marouda een groep kunstenaars uit om op het water te drijven.Door het gebruikelijke oppervlak van de artistieke praktijk – de bodem – in te ruilen voor water, wil ze onderzoeken hoe de vloeibaarheid en het geheel van omstandigheden kan uitlekken naar die praktijken – of ze zelfs overspoelen? Wat betekent het om water te begrijpen als een medewerker? Door deze vragen te stellen, nodigt Marialena de kunstenaars uit om minstens 24 uur op de boot van nadine, Buratinas, te varen en op 3 en 4 juli te starten met de jaarlijkse “Ronde van België”. Ze nemen de boot mee van waar hij door de vorige kapiteins werd achtergelaten en varen naar de plaats waar het water hen zal begeleiden. De volgende kapiteins zullen van daar uit varen.

[FR] Du 3 au 4 juillet Marialena Marouda sera en résidence sur le Buratinas et entamera le troisième tour de Belgique. Elle invite un groupe d’artistes chercheurs à enquêter avec elle. En échangeant le sol habituel de sa pratique artistique contre l’eau, elle souhaite explorer les questions de fluidité et de ses conditions de possibilités au sein de sa pratique. Qu’est-ce que cela peut signifier d’envisager l’eau comme une collaboratrice ?
Posant ces questions, elle invite les artistes à passer au moins 24h sur le bateau de Nadine avec elle, et à entamer son troisième tour de Belgique. Leur point de départ sera l’endroit où le capitaine précédent a laissé le bateau et ils iront là où l’eau les guidera.
