What does it mean to take care directly and in person of the material and immaterial legacy of Peggy Guggenheim today? Including its colonizing features?
How do our own individual ways of collecting, and relating -also erotically- to other cultures, resonate with hers?
A group of ten Peggy Guggenheim Collection employees (guides, curators, coordinators) explores these questions throughout a three-week long research process designed and facilitated by Simone Basani.
The collective and individual research trajectory of the participants will move through erotic and auto-fictional writing, recording, performative practices.
The collective desire of the team and Simone is that this trajectory would affect the way the participants feel, think about, and communicate the meaning and life of the Collection to their audience.
