[NL] Het project wie WIJ zijn heeft haar wortels op een actieve biologische groenteboerderij uit 1866 op het Belgische platteland. Zeven kunstenaars gingen er op verkenning naar de parallellen tussen landbouw en kunst. Na een lange periode van seizoensresidenties en onderzoek op de boerderij van Boer Maarten (maart ’23 – maart ’25), komt het project tot een nieuwe fase: De Collectie.

De ideeën van de deelnemende kunstenaars konden de laatste maanden verder rijpen en werpen uiteindelijk hun vruchten af. De werken in De Collectie (gaande van visueel werk tot geluidsinstallatie en performance) zijn sterk verbonden met de boerderij en zullen in deze specifieke context publiek gepresenteerd worden.

[EN] wie WIJ zijn is a project rooted on an active organic vegetable farm dated 1866 in rural Belgium. Seven artists embarked on a long term residency to explore the parallels between agriculture and art. After a period of seasonal residencies and research at the farm of Boer Maarten (March 2023 – March 2025), the project comes to a new phase: De Collectie.

The ideas of all participating artists could ripe during the last months and eventually produce fruits. Going from visual work to sound installation and performance, the works of De Collectie are deeply connected to the farm and will be publicly presented in this special context.
