“We don’t necessarily need new celebrations, we want to repair existing ones.”

[EN] Deep Hanging Out is a travel through collective reflections, rituals, readings, performances by School of Love.
Deep Hanging Out is a recurrent event of School Of Love, dedicated to co-learning and performing love practices. On this occasion, it will collide with the jewish celebration TIKUN where the night is dedicated to collective studying that engages with the notion of Repair. The traditional Tikun will be actualised during the Deep Hanging Out as an invitation to give attention to what asks for repair today.
How to repair  – not by pairing that which is broken back to its past state, but as a way to re-visit, re-new and prepare the present we would like to live in.
The evening will unfold through several acts, each exploring the interdependencies within, between and around our bodies, shared across the cultural backgrounds and singularities of those present at the celebration.  SOL aims to welcome everyone into an inclusive environment away from cultural or religious dominance and specifically to claim space for the jewish tradition apart from its appropriation by Zionism.

Deep Hanging Out is een terugkerend evenement van School Of Love, gewijd aan het samen leren en performen van liefdespraktijken. Voor deze gelegenheid valt DHO samen met de joodse viering TIKUN waar de avond is gewijd aan collectief (be)studeren van de notie van Herstel. De traditionele Tikun zal worden geactualiseerd tijdens de Deep Hanging Out als een uitnodiging om aandacht te geven aan wat vandaag om reparatie vraagt.
Hoe te repareren – niet door dat wat kapot is terug te brengen in zijn vroegere staat, maar als een manier om het heden waarin we willen leven opnieuw te bezoeken, te vernieuwen en voor te bereiden.
De avond zal zich ontvouwen door middel van verschillende acts, die elk de onderlinge afhankelijkheden binnen, tussen en rond onze lichamen verkennen, gedeeld door de culturele achtergronden en specificiteiten van de aanwezigen op de viering. SOL verwelkomt iedereen in een inclusieve omgeving, weg van culturele of religieuze dominantie en specifiek om ruimte te claimen voor de joodse traditie, los van de toe-eigening ervan door het zionisme.

Deep Hanging Out est un événement récurrent de la School of Love, dédié au co-apprentissage et à l’exécution de pratiques amoureuses. À cette occasion, l’événement entre en collision avec la célébration juive du Tikun, où la nuit est dédiée à l’étude collective qui s’engage dans la notion de réparation. Le Tikun traditionnel sera actualisé pendant le Deep Hanging Out comme une invitation à prêter attention à ce qui demande réparation aujourd’hui.
Comment réparer – non pas en remettant ce qui est cassé dans son état antérieur, mais en revisitant, en renouvelant et en préparant le présent dans lequel nous aimerions vivre.
La soirée se déroulera en plusieurs actes, chacun explorant les interdépendances à l’intérieur, entre et autour de nos corps, partagées entre les origines culturelles et les singularités des personnes présentes à la célébration. SOL vise à accueillir tout le monde dans un environnement inclusif, loin de toute domination culturelle ou religieuse, et plus particulièrement à revendiquer un espace pour la tradition juive en dehors de son appropriation par le sionisme.
