[EN] the forest is a place where one never knows where one is and simultaneously never feels lost. This condition before the unknown allows us to write the future in ways we could not have imagined.
entering the forest_ is an invitation to the practice of the ‘unknown’. A term that shifts as soon as it is named, as an exercise in resistant struggle against the capitalist system of production that dominates the entire knowledge-based world. The unknown sets up a space of encounter between participants according to relational rules in the making. The exchange of information and codes is intimate and delicate. It shifts a few millimetres from what we regard as reality and continually opens up questions about the meaning of things and their generative power, shedding light on the habit of censorship for a relational normativity.
the forest_ investigates verbal language from an ontological point of view, that is how verbal language becomes a producer of knowledge.
Through different autonomous parts, the forest__ produces a non-linear, poetic discourse that opens different spatio-temporal portals, each with a different effect in relation to the audience.
Until now, the forest has unfolded in a participatory performance, premièred at almost summer festival in June 2024; the publication entrare nel bosco / to enter the forest, both in Italian and in English (nero ed.) and callisto’s room, a performative installation presented at n0dine in May 2024.
in the forest_we practice processes of metamorphosis of language.
