[EN] In the context of 4th WAB Shervin Kianersi Haghighi invites Emilio Fantin for an online gathering about dreams.

During the webinar “Alma Listens To The Family Dreams Closed Inside The Wall Of Our Home” the participants are invited to memorise their dreams that are connected to the theme “The house”. “The house” can be your house, your parents’ house, your grandparents’ house, someone else’s house. It can refer an apartment where you have already been, to being at home, being invited by friends in a party, being lost and not finding your house, etc. Bring a dream where (what you consider) “The house” appears.

The webinar begins with an introduction by Emilio after which the dream-telling will start. Anyone who wants to tell her/his dream can decide for her/himself when it is the right moment to do so – possibly through finding an association with an other dream (by analogy or symbolic value or other…). At the end there is a collective discussion about what emerged from this oniric review.

Emilio Fantin creates the conditions for dialectic interaction between different types of knowledge. He generates spaces and situations in which he invites people to share in the non-geographical area of sleep and dreams, an area in which intense dynamics of exchange arise, with the aim of demonstrating what he calls “the social aspect of dreams” in pursuit of those special hidden ties that are activated in the life of a community.

About Emilio Fantin
In his artistic research he pays particular attention to the pedagogical aspect; he focuses on dialogue, expressed as the Art of Conversation, and on the concept of Invisible Community, where the poetic and evocative aspects of social existence become everyday practices.
From 2005 to 2015 he was a professor of Contemporary Art at the Department of Architecture of the Milan Polytechnic. He has also founded, together with the artists of the Lu Cafausu project, Fondazione Lac o le Mon (San Cesario di Lecce, Apulia), a residency place for artistic research.

 

[NL] In het kader van 4th WAB nodigt Shervin Kianersi Haghighi Emilio Fantin uit voor een online bijeenkomst over dromen.

Tijdens het webinar “Alma Listens To The Family Dreams Closed Inside The Wall Of Our Home” nodigt Emilio Fantin de deelnemers uit om hun dromen te memoriseren die verbonden zijn met “Het huis”. “Het huis” kan jouw huis, het huis van je ouders, het huis van je grootouders, of het huis van iemand anders zijn. Het kan een appartement zijn waar je al eens geweest bent, of verwijzen naar ‘thuis’ zijn, uitgenodigd worden door vrienden op een feestje, verdwaald zijn en je huis niet vinden, etc. Breng een droom mee waarin “Het huis”, in welke vorm dan ook, verschijnt.

Na een introductie van Emilio worden de deelnemers uitgenodigd hun dromen te vertellen. Iedereen die haar/zijn droom wil vertellen kan zelf bepalen wat het juiste moment is, mogelijk door een associatie te vinden met een andere droom (bvb ahv een analogie of symbolische connectie). Aan het einde van de webinar is er een collectieve discussie over wat er uit deze droom-bespreking kan komen.

Emilio Fantin faciliteert dialectische interactie tussen verschillende soorten kennis. Hij creëert ruimtes en situaties waarin hij mensen uitnodigt om het non-geografisch gebied van de slaap en dromen te verkennen waar intense dynamieken van uitwisseling kunnen ontstaan. Emilio wil aantonen wat hij “het sociale aspect van dromen” noemt, en zo de speciale  verborgen banden die geactiveerd worden in het leven van een gemeenschap blootleggen.

Over Emilio Fantin
In zijn artistiek onderzoek besteedt hij bijzondere aandacht aan pedagogie en richt zich op de dialoog, of de “Kunst van het Gesprek”, en op het concept van de “Onzichtbare Gemeenschap”, waar de poëtische en evocatieve aspecten van het sociale bestaan dagelijkse acties worden.
Van 2005 tot 2015 was hij professor Hedendaagse Kunst aan het Departement Architectuur van de Polytechnische Universiteit van Milaan. Samen met de kunstenaars van het Lu Cafausu project, richtte hij Fondazione Lac o le Mon (San Cesario di Lecce, Apulië) op, een residentieplaats voor artistiek onderzoek.

Pendant le Webinair “Alma Listens To The Family Dreams Closed Inside The Wall Of Our Home” les participants seront invités à se souvenir de leurs rêves en lien avec le thème « La maison ». « La maison » peut être la vôtre, celle de vos parents, de vos grands-parents ou celle de quelqu’un d’autre. Un rêve en rapport avec un appartement où vous avez déjà été, un rêve dans lequel vous êtes chez vous, ou invité par des amis à une fête, ou encore vous êtes perdus et ne parvenez pas à retrouver votre maison … Apportez un rêve dans lequel ce que vous considérez être « la maison » apparaît.

Le webinair commencera par une introduction d’Emilio après laquelle le récit des rêves commencera. Chacun.e décidera quand ce sera le bon moment de raconter son rêve, en écho ou en association, par exemple, au rêve de quelqu’un.e d’autre (analogie ou valeur symbolique …). Á la fin aura lieu une discussion collective sur ce qu’aura fait émerger cette réunion onirique.
