Circling around (without taking off) is a cheeky reference to the absurdity of tourism and travelling. It is a set of rules for a group of people, gathered for the occasion, to write a story in the suburban landscape; or to let this landscape write a story in our mind. It is an attempt – which is bound to fail – to be local, in close presence of one of the most delocalized landscapes of our world.

Circling around (without taking off) is een brutale verwijzing naar de absurditeit van toerisme en reizen. Het is een set regels voor een groep mensen, verzameld voor de gelegenheid, om een verhaal te schrijven in het suburbane landschap; of om dit landschap een verhaal in onze geest te laten schrijven. Het is een poging – die gedoemd is te mislukken – om lokaal te zijn, in de nabijheid van een van de meest gedelokaliseerde landschappen van onze wereld.
