[EN] NOISY IMAGES is an exhibition at the Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum, in the framework of the Photoszene Festival in Cologne, Germany.
In collaboration with Rokia Bamba and Michael Murtaugh (SICV), Antje Van Wichelen presents installations that are the results from her work on colonial photo archives of institutions such as Quai Branly, Wereldculturen, Pitt River Museum, Africa Museum Tervuren, Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum, etc.
The Rautenstrauch-Joest museum invited her to organize a guided tour in the exhibition, and she would like to take this opportunity to add a debate on the subject of our (and art’s) relations with colonial imagery. She’s interested in the dialogues between Brussels’ and Cologne’s multiple points of view.
