Re-Calling The New Dionysian Festival

16/02/2019 - 16/02/2019

20:00 - 23:00

dinA, Nieuwbrug 3 Rue du Pont Neuf, 1000 Brussels

Irina Lavrinovic, Laura Eva Meuris, Asher Lev, and Thomas Proksch welcome you on Saturday 16 February (20:00-23:00) for a moment of reflection regarding ‘The New Dionysian Festival’ at nadine.

[EN] “Last August, The New Dionysian Festival appeared for the first time in the world, in a spacious greenhouse close to Brussels. It was is a holey party that invokes the age old symbiotic relation between the sacred mushroom and archaic human culture. It was a celebration that empowered a desire for reconnecting to the rhizomorphic network of nature’s intelligence. It was a time and a space for dissolving borders between beings and for sensing the emergence of unexpected visions to come.

On February 16, starting at 20h00, there will be a playful reflection on this recent event which will take place at Nadine Laboratory for Contemporary Arts, Rue Pont Neuf 3, in Brussels. There, we will recall and re-invoke this fest of altered states of mind, ecology, art and collective soul making that is The New Dionysian. As we share sounds and images of the past gathering, we invite you to dream with us about creative spirituality. Together we will imagine in practice how the unknown, discovery, exploration and archaic knowledge, relate to culture, tradition and ceremony. Tracing the threads of the first New Dionysian, this evening will also be an opportunity to start weaving the future possibilities of a movement that has already begun.

Be Welcome.

[NL] In augustus 2018 richtten vier kunstenaars The New Dionysian Festival op in een grote serre net buiten Brussel.
