A cape to share.
Two capes were made from the cloth that was on the table at last year’s dinner. One will be send out. The other one will stay at the farm waiting for her other to come back from her travel.

Do you want to be part of The dresscode?
Walk with her through your area as she walks with you.

Please send us an email before March 1 2024.
We will prepare the cape for her journey, define her route and let you know, when she will be yours.

We expect her to travel during spring, summer, autumn and winter…
We kindly ask you to send us a souvenir of your area. It may come in any form or shape.

Please notice that your souvenir will be the start of another episode.

[NL] Sara ten Westenend en Giene Steenman lanceren een open call om deel te nemen aan You hunter You ‘the dresscode’. Het tafellaken van de vorige fase ‘the area’ zal in de vorm van een cape naar verschillende plekken reizen. De cape activeert wandelingen in of langs het ‘terrein’ van de verschillende deelnemers. Ze worden uitgenodigd deze ervaringen op hun beurt te delen via een zelfgekozen format, een soort souvenir aan hun ‘area’.

You hunter You is een artistiek onderzoek van Sara ten Westenend op de biologische boerderij van Maarten Van Gool in Attenrode België. Het project krijgt vorm doorheen de jaren. Elke fase vormt de basis voor de volgende*. De jacht kan beschouwd worden als een strategie, een manier om te handelen, te leven en te overleven waarbij alle zintuigen als leidraad worden gebruikt. Werken gemaakt tijdens dit onderzoek zijn gericht op het leren vertrouwen op het innerlijke en niet tastbare vormen van kennis. De jacht wordt gebruikt als methodologie en als opzet/tijdlijn.

[EN] You hunter You is an artistic research by Sara ten Westenend initiated on the organic farm of Maarten Van Gool in Attenrode Belgium. The project grows over the years. Every episode forms the base for the next episode*. The hunt can be seen as a strategy, a way to act, live and survive using all senses as a guide. Works made during this research are aimed at learning to rely on inward attentiveness and non-rational knowledge. The hunt is used as a methodology as well as a set up/timeline.
