[EN] Buratinas Band’s Tour is a project initiated by NGHE Médiathèque. Buratinas Band is a half-improvised music band composing with the spacial restraints of the Buratinas boat and the spaces it goes through : canals, bridges, locks, industrial zoning,… The music is played on the boat with portable-acoustic or self-sufficient-electronic instruments, and diffused through a portable and self-sufficient-mini-sound system made from second hand electronic components (camera batteries, radios and taperecorders…).

Buratinas Band’s Tour plans a 4-day-tour from Brussels to Ronquières, with live concerts and music on live broadcast FM waves. The boat becomes a wandering music player in interaction with the surrounding. It navigates very slowly (ca 4km/h) so you can follow it by bike or on foot. If you bring your own self-sufficient radio you can be part of the sound system, so you are welcome to join the Tour! You can also join in the evening to camp, or combine bike and train.

[NL] Buratinas Band’s Tour is een project geïnitieerd door NGHE Médiathèque. Buratinas Band is een half-geïmproviseerde muziekband, die gebruik maakt van de ruimtelijke beperkingen van de Buratinas Boot en de plaatsen waar ze doorheen vaart zoals kanalen, bruggen, sluizen, industriële zones,… De muziek op de boot wordt gespeeld met draagbare akoestische of zelfvoorzienende elektronische instrumenten, en verspreid via een draagbaar en zelfvoorzienend mini-klanksysteem, gemaakt van tweedehands elektronische componenten (camera batterijen, radio’s en cassettespelers…).

Buratinas Band’s Tour plant een 4-daagse tocht van Brussel naar Ronquières, met live concerten en muziek die live uitgezonden worden via FM-golven. De boot wordt een wandering muziekspeler in interactie met de omgeving. Omdat Buratinas zo traag vaart (ca 4 km/u) kan je hem volgen op de fiets of te voet. Wie zijn eigen radio meeneemt, kan ook deel uitmaken van de geluidsinstallatie, dus iedereen is welkom! Wie wil kan ook ‘s avonds inpikken op het programma en blijven kamperen.

[FR] Buratinas Band’s Tour est un projet initié par la médiathèque NGHE, un groupe de musique à moitié improvisé utilisant les contraintes spatiales du Buratinas et les voies d’eaux pour composer. Buratinas Band’s Tour prévoit une tournée de 4 jours de Bruxelles à Ronquières, avec des concerts live et une diffusion radio en direct. Rejoignez-nous !
