[EN] ETAT DES LIEUX is a program curated & produced by nadine vzw, where artists present ongoing research and work during a public try-out. For this Etat des Lieux, nadine teams up with Pool is Cool: FLOW becomes the backdrop for an experimental event with performance, play and spontaneous sound interventions.

Buratinas is a small solar-powered boat that functions as a short-term residency space for artists. The boat will be occupied by NGHE Médiathèque, who will lead the public from the centre of Brussels to FLOW and create spontaneous sonic events. This walk will take the form of a live radio fiction on the history of the canal and its transformations related to real estate speculation. At the end of the evening, the boat hosts a concert by Tel Quel.

In his sound practice, Christian Hansen (209.dk) always sees a given landscape or scenery as an infrastructure. He then enters an interface to play, decode or activate it. Often, he experiments with musical interfaces, or specially built tools that work best at a given site. Christian will install his ‘floating keyboards’ as an ongoing performance in the pool.

The collective performances of Francesca Chiacchio (ILPALINSESTO) are initiated by colour codes. Geometry is often used for communication with participants. Currently, she is doing research on geometry as a versatile tool for movement and interaction, always adapting to a specific place. At FLOW, she will experiment with ‘drawing’ from geometry to imagine a score and a game. She will do a try out of the choreography with swimmers in the pool.  

Sylvain Brillault (no limit graphics) & Guillaume Ribault set up an upcycling/silkscreen atelier. They will specially design Buratinas typographic patterns that can be freely applied to your garments.

[NL] ETAT DES LIEUX is een programma samengesteld en geproduceerd door nadine vzw, waarbij kunstenaars hun lopend onderzoek en werk presenteren tijdens een publieke try-out. Voor deze Etat des Lieux werkt nadine samen met Pool is Cool: FLOW wordt het decor voor een experimenteel evenement met performance, spel en spontane geluidsinterventies.

Buratinas is een kleine boot op zonne-energie die functioneert als een tijdelijke residentieplek. De boot, bestuurd door mediatheek NGHE, zal het publiek van het centrum van Brussel naar FLOW leiden en spontane geluidsevenementen creëren. Deze wandeling zal de vorm aannemen van een live radiofictie over de geschiedenis van het kanaal en de transformaties ervan in verband met vastgoedspeculatie. Op het eind van de avond vindt er een concert plaats op de boot van Tel Quel.

In zijn geluidspraktijk beschouwt Christian Hansen (209.dk) een gegeven landschap altijd als een infrastructuur. Vervolgens gebruikt hij een interface om het te bespelen, decoderen of activeren. Vaak experimenteert hij met muzikale interfaces of speciaal gebouwde instrumenten die het beste werken op een bepaalde locatie. Christian zal zijn drijvende keyboards installeren als doorlopende performance in het zwembad.

De collectieve performances van Francesca Chiacchio (ILPALINSESTO) worden geïnitieerd door kleurcodes. Geometrie wordt vaak gebruikt voor communicatie met deelnemers. Momenteel doet ze onderzoek naar geometrie als een veelzijdig instrument voor beweging en interactie, dat zich altijd aanpast aan een specifieke plek. In FLOW zal ze experimenteren met het ‘tekenen’ van geometrie om een score en een spel voor te stellen. Ze zal de choreografie uitproberen met zwemmers in het zwembad.

Sylvain Brillault (no limit graphics) & Guillaume Ribault zullen een upcycling/zeefdruk atelier opzetten. Ze ontwerpen hiervoor speciaal Buratinas typografische patronen die vrij op je kleding kunnen worden aangebracht.

[FR] ETAT DES LIEUX est un programme conçu et produit par nadine asbl, dans lequel les artistes présentent leurs travail et recherches lors d’un essai public. Pour cet Etat des Lieux, nadine collabore avec Pool is Cool : FLOW devient le cadre d’un événement expérimental avec des performances, des jeux et des interventions sonores spontanées.

BURATINAS & NGHE emmènent le public dans une expérience sonore totale dans et autour de la piscine et du canal.

Buratinas est un petit bateau, fonctionnant à l’énergie solaire et qui sert de lieu de résidence à court terme. Occupé par la Médiathèque NGHE, bateau guidera le public du centre de Bruxelles à FLOW, créant un événement sonore spontané. Cette promenade prendra la forme d’une radio-fiction live à propos de l’histoire du canal et de ses transformations liées à la spéculation immobilière. En fin de soirée, le bateau accueille un concert de Tel Quel.

Dans sa pratique sonore, Christian Hansen (209.dk) envisage un paysage donné comme une infrastructure, dans laquelle il introduit un dispositif avec lequel jouer, décoder ou activer ce paysage. Il expérimente sur des outils musicaux conçus pour fonctionner sur un site en particulier. Christian installera pour FLOW ses « claviers flottants », une performance continue.

Les performances collectives de Francesca Chiacchio (ILPALINSESTO) sont initiées par des codes de couleur. La géométrie est souvent utilisée pour communiquer avec les participants. Actuellement, elle fait des recherches sur la géométrie en tant qu’outil polyvalent pour le mouvement et l’interaction, s’adaptant toujours à un lieu spécifique. À FLOW, elle expérimentera le “dessin” à partir de la géométrie pour imaginer une partition et un jeu. Elle fera un essai de la chorégraphie avec des nageurs dans la piscine.

Sylvain Brillault (no limit graphics) & Guillaume Ribault mettront en place un atelier d’upcycling/sérigraphie. Ils créeront spécialement des motifs typographiques Buratinas qui pourront être appliqués librement sur vos vêtements.
