[EN] “First and foremost, our adventure is an urban one. We spend hours wandering the city, observing how it organises itself, abandons itself, transforms and renews itself. We like to understand the energies that inhabit it and feel its vibrations. We listen to its noises, day and night, its silences, its cries of life, the songs of trucks and the crunch of concrete. On Reunion Island, in the Riviere des Galets district, we were interested in the undefined, shapeable spaces that the inhabitants spontaneously appropriate and adapt to their needs.”

Following their residency at LERKA on Reunion Island, Agathe Voisin and Clément Thiry invite you to a presentation of their research in the form of a proposed experiment followed by a picnic.

[NL] “Ons avontuur is bovenal stedelijk. We dwalen urenlang door de stad, observeren hoe ze zichzelf organiseert, in de steek laat, transformeert en vernieuwt. We zouden graag de energieën begrijpen die erin huizen en de vibraties voelen. We luisteren naar de geluiden, dag en nacht, de stiltes, de kreten van leven, het gezang van vrachtwagens en het kraken van beton. Op het Île de la Réunion, in de wijk Riviere des galets, waren we geïnteresseerd in die ruimtes die ongedefinieerd en kneedbaar zijn, die de bewoners zich spontaan toe-eigenen en aanpassen aan hun behoeften.”

Na hun residentie bij LERKA op het eiland Réunion nodigen Agathe Voisin en Clément Thiry je uit om over hun onderzoek te horen in de vorm van een voorgesteld experiment, gevolgd door een picknick.
